Stimulus checks are sent
CALIFORNIANS can use an online tax portal to find out when they will receive their $ 600 stimulus check as payments continue to be sent across the state.
The checks are part of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Golden State stimulus program and about two-thirds of residents are eligible to claim the money.
Most should receive a check for $ 600, but some Americans will receive a payment of $ 500 or $ 1,100.
Californians are encouraged to visit the Franchise Tax Board portal while waiting to receive their check.
The majority of the state’s stimulus payments will be sent by direct deposit and are expected to arrive by Oct. 15, according to Marca.
But, those who filed after August 20 are likely to have to wait around 45 days for their check to be processed.
Some Americans will receive their stimulus checks in the mail and they will be mailed from October 4 until the end of the year.
The date residents can expect to receive the money depends on the last three digits of their postal code.
Americans can contact Franchise Tax Board officials online, by mail, or by phone.
The agency’s offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST, and the number to dial is 800-852-5711.

Taxpayers must also have a valid Social Security number to claim the money and they must not have received the first payment, according to National interest.
Americans who did not receive the first stimulus check from Golden State and who applied for credit for at least one dependent are eligible for a check for $ 1,100, CNET reports.
