Hurricane Ida Dwelling Site Comment Period Proposal
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A three-day comment period opens Tuesday for a proposed group housing site for Hurricane Ida survivors in a southeast Louisiana parish, news reported. the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Monday.
Up to 75 families could be accommodated at the community site in St. Charles Parish of Killona, the agency said in a press release. According to FEMA, the parish needs 79 units for residents whose homes were destroyed or are still unlivable due to damage from the hurricane that made landfall on August 29, 2021.
