ETMarkets Investor’s Guide: What Do Second Quarter Results Hold For D-Street?
Indian stocks ended at record highs on the eve of the new earnings season. After the TCS reported its numbers on Friday, the major index companies will line up next week to report their September quarter results. This season is very promising, as the Nifty companies are expected to post 30 percent growth in their bottom line. The question is: will this be enough to jumpstart a new stage of earnings revaluation or is the best behind us?
ETMarkets’ Chiranjivi Chakraborty has met with Vaibhav Sanghavi, co-CEO of Avendus Capital Alternate Strategies, to find out what’s coming up.
Q. The September quarterly earnings season is upon us. What are the key things you are looking for this time around?
Q. When we look at valuations, it appears that investors have largely integrated at least two years of earnings in advance. So do you see the possibility of having more advantages?
Q. The real estate industry was in turmoil last month and there is considerable optimism for the space. Are we witnessing the start of a new bull cycle in this sector?
Q. Concerns about inflation and global growth are back. How should investors navigate over the next 6 months?
Thank you Chiranjivi and Mr. Sanghavi for a very intriguing conversation.
