Bangladesh beats India in per capita income
Contrary to statements by the Indian government, the country is currently facing a serious economic crisis. If we talk about the current situation, an average citizen of Bangladesh now earns more than an Indian. According to the latest reports, Bangladesh’s per capita income is currently higher than that of India.
Bangladesh reported a per capita income of $ 2,227 for fiscal year 2020-2021, which is 9% more than its per capita income of $ 2,064 for 2019-2020. By comparison, India reported a per capita income of $ 1,947,417 in 2020-2021. The government said the economic contraction was due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Bangladesh Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said: “Our per capita income is $ 2,227 for fiscal year 2020-2021; per capita income for the previous fiscal year was $ 2,064. The growth rate is therefore 9%. “
Per capita income is the average income earned by a person in the country. It is calculated by dividing the country’s national income by its population.
Bangladesh’s per capita income was half that of India in 2007. Within 14 years, it now exceeded India’s per capita income in dollar terms.
